Celebrating the women shaping rural communities.

To mark the International Day of Rural Women, the Legacy Livestock team attended the Rural Press Club lunch, hearing from an inspiring panel of speakers: Rachel Chambers, Helen Fraser and Wendy Henning, moderated by Arlie Felton-Taylor.

The conversation explored the foundations of strong rural communities, from the food we grow and the value of quality nutrition, to the importance of accessible healthcare, infrastructure and education.

A timely reminder of the women whose knowledge, leadership and commitment help shape the future of rural Australia.

When the opportunity is right, timing matters.

John and Ann were looking to diversify their operation by increasing their livestock trading activity and reducing their exposure to cropping. Terry Nolan of Nolan Meats delivered this year's keynote, sharing lessons from a remarkable career both pre and post farm gate.

His reflections on communication, relationships, industry contribution and the ability of Australian farming families to achieve incredible outcomes were a fitting reminder of the strength of our industry.
