👑 King’s Birthday Public Holiday Closure

A quick reminder that the Walshs office will be closed on Monday, 5 October for the King’s Birthday public holiday.

💳 Important ATO payment update.

From 1 December 2026, the ATO will no longer accept credit cards as a payment method, following changes to card payment costs and surcharging.

If you currently use a credit card to pay tax obligations, including through an existing payment plan, it’s worth reviewing your arrangements now. Taxpayers with a direct debit arrangement linked to a credit card will need to update their payment method before their first instalment due after 30 November.

Alternative payment options will remain available through the ATO.

A great morning with RVTS at Sofitel Brisbane today! 👏

Daniel James and Nav Saini had the opportunity to present to an engaged group of doctors, with plenty of thoughtful questions and discussion throughout the session.

Last Monday, we had a fantastic turnout for our Your Money Matters session with ! 💰🩺

More than 50 students joined us in person, with another 20+ tuning in online from the Sunshine Coast and Rural campuses.

Nav and Tyson represented Walshs at the 2026 QLD Part 3 Course, supporting advanced anaesthetic trainees as they prepare to transition into consultant roles.

Walshs delivered a practical session covering key financial and accounting considerations for consultant work and private practice, including financial foundations, business structures, taxation, compliance and key financial decisions when moving into private practice.

Nav and Tyson also joined the broader discussion alongside Dr Tim Wong and Dr Graham Mapp, sharing practical insights from a financial and business perspective.

A great opportunity to support the next generation of anaesthetic specialists as they prepare for the next stage of their careers.
