Yesterday, VisionFund Zambia proudly participated in the ABSA Marathon, with our CEO Simon Ziba , members of the Senior Management Team, Head Office staff and Lusaka Branch staff coming together to represent VisionFund on the road.

It was a great day of fitness, teamwork and togetherness as we joined thousands of participants in this exciting event.

We showed up, we participated, and we represented VisionFund Zambia!

A joint VisionFund Zambia and World Vision Zambia Board field visit to communities in Namwala provided an opportunity to see firsthand how access to agricultural finance is supporting rural livelihoods, strengthening resilience and helping households generate income.
VisionFund Zambia Board Vice Chairperson Idah Chileshe Chella said, "I am happy to see communities committed to lifting themselves out of poverty through borrowing and repaying loans quickly. These loans have supported livelihoods even during the 2023 drought."

Leading the Vision Fund delegation, Vision Fund Zambia Chief Executive Officer Simon Ziba said, "I am impressed with the commitment from farmers in Namwala, we will expedite agricultural loans to groups and individuals with the commitment and capacity to repay."

The visit highlighted the commitment and determination of farmers who are using financial services to invest in their livelihoods and build greater resilience, even in the face of challenges such as drought.

VisionFund Zambia and World Vision Zambia remain committed to walking alongside communities and expanding opportunities that contribute to resilient and sustainable livelihoods.

Yesterday, we were pleased to have had our VisionFund Zambia Board of Directors, along side with our CEO Simon Ziba participate in a comprehensive Corporate Governance, Strategy and Enterprise Risk Management Training.
The training was facilitated by PACRA, Bank of Zambia, and the Institute of Risk Management, providing valuable insights into effective board governance, leadership responsibilities, regulatory compliance, strategic oversight, and enterprise risk management.
The engagement reinforced the importance of strong governance and effective risk management in supporting sustainable organisational performance, accountability, and responsible decision-making.
At VisionFund Zambia, we remain committed to strengthening our governance and risk management practices to better serve our clients, stakeholders, and communities.
