Our team recently exhibited at the 💫

From connecting with women in business to hearing from an incredible lineup of speakers, the day was a reminder of what’s possible when women create opportunities and hold space for one another.

We also heard from the Deputy Minister of Small Business Development, who delivered a keynote on “Unlocking Opportunities for Women Entrepreneurs: Turning Policy into Business Growth.”

Women’s Month may have come to an end, but these conversations and connections continue beyond August. 🤍

Welcome to Imvelo Wealth Solutions’s Women & Wealth Series.

Throughout August, we’re creating a space for honest conversations around money, family, relationships and the financial decisions that shape women’s lives.

This is a space for the wealth conversations many of us were never taught to have - conversations that empower women to make informed, confident financial decisions.

Because every financial journey begins with a conversation.

How many of us have convinced ourselves that we’ll start saving when we earn more, when life settles down, or when there’s a little extra left at the end of the month?

But what if waiting is the very thing holding us back?

The truth is, many people don’t wait because they want to. They wait because the realities they face today make saving feel out of reach. Rising living costs, debt and family responsibilities often mean getting through the month takes priority over planning for the future.

At Imvelo Wealth, we understand that every financial journey is different. That’s why we believe financial planning should be as unique as the people behind it, balancing today’s realities with tomorrow’s aspirations. Building healthy saving habits today can help you prepare for unexpected expenses, work towards life’s milestones, reduce financial stress and create greater financial freedom over time. After all, time is one of your greatest financial assets, and the sooner you start building healthy financial habits, the more they can work in your favour.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from this National Savings Month isn’t how much you’ve managed to save, but whether you’ve made the decision to start.

Because every financial journey starts somewhere.

You don’t have to wait for the perfect income or the perfect time to start saving.

Think of saving as a habit. Just like eating healthier or exercising regularly, good financial habits are built through consistency, not perfection.

Many South Africans are juggling rising living costs, debt and family responsibilities, so it isn’t always easy to save. However, even small, consistent actions can help build healthier financial habits over time.

As National Savings Month comes to an end, we’d love to hear from you…

Jumping on the Canva trend!

As part of our Youth Takeover series, we’re taking a look at what’s on Tshepi desk and the one thing she can’t work without.

Her laptop it’s more than just a device, it’s where financial plans come together, client goals take shape, and every day presents an opportunity to keep learning, growing and making a difference.

What’s the one thing you can’t work without?

Youth Takeover | We asked Lebogang Pooe: What’s one thing you wish every young South African knew about money?

Her answer is a reminder that all you need to do is to get started.

What’s one financial lesson you wish you had learned sooner?

Today, we remember the courage and sacrifice of the young people who stood up for change in 1976 and the impact they had on South Africa’s history.

As we reflect on their legacy, we also celebrate the young people who continue to shape our country’s future every day.

Jumping on the trend.

As part of our Youth Takeover series, we’re taking a look at what’s on Lebogang Pooe’s desk and the one thing she cannot work without.

“Even when I’m not writing anything, I always need to have one nearby. I fiddle with it when I work and somehow it helps keep my mind engaged and focused. Just holding it or playing with it seems to help my thoughts flow more freely and keeps me mentally stimulated throughout the day. A pen is the one thing I cannot work without.”

What’s the one item you can’t work without on your desk?
