I am incredibly proud to share that I have been recognised as one of the TOP 5 Debt Counsellors in the Small Debt Counselling Practice category at the 2026 Debt Review Awards!

Six nominations since 2018, three wins, and another Top 5 finish. It is an honour I never take for granted.

Anyone who knows me knows how seriously I take my work and how passionate I am about debt counselling and what debt review stands for.

This is worth a read.

A good salary can help, but it doesn’t automatically solve a debt problem. If a large part of your income is already going towards repayments and day-to-day expenses, earning more may not bring the relief you expected.

The important question is not only how much you earn, but whether your income and debt are working together in a way that’s sustainable.

A thoughtful read for anyone who has wondered why a better salary hasn’t made their financial pressure disappear.

Ask most people who ends up in debt review and they picture someone on a low wage who ran out of money. Some are. But a surprising share of the people who come to a debt counsellor earn a salary most South Africans would envy, and their debts are often far larger, writes Rowan Breeds.

Someone celebrating a treatment milestone. Someone finding their way through another appointment. Someone holding a loved one’s hand. Someone wishing they could hold it once more.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, let us honour every one of these stories.

May we celebrate survivors, support those facing breast cancer today, and care for the families and caregivers beside them. May we also keep encouraging early detection, screening and health support that people can access.

Above all, may our care continue long after the ribbons come down.

I am incredibly proud and grateful to share that I have once again been nominated as one of the Top 10 finalists in the Small Debt Counselling Practice category at the annual Debt Review Awards.

This marks my sixth nomination since 2018, and having been fortunate enough to win three times before, it is an honour I never take lightly.

What makes this recognition particularly meaningful is that the nomination comes from votes cast by banks and other credit providers. It reflects their experience of my work and the effort I put into finding practical, sustainable solutions for both consumers and credit providers.
