"Only wealthy people need a will."

It's one of the biggest financial myths out there.

The truth? If you own a car, have savings, support loved ones, or simply want a say in what happens to your belongings, having a valid will matters.

Without a will, the law determines how your estate is distributed, which can create delays, costs, and unnecessary stress for the people you care about most.

A will isn't about how much money you have. It's about protecting your wishes and making things easier for your family when they need it most.

Obesity in young South Africans has doubled in just six years. Globally, childhood obesity has increased tenfold since 1975, with 41 million youngsters under the age of five either obese or overweight. And a quarter of these children live in Africa.

I’m done hiding. I now choose.
Her Women of Worth story is about something we do not talk about enough: the freedom that comes with having choices.

She reminds us that wealth is when you get to live on your own terms. No shrinking. No waiting.

It is said that nearly half of all marriages in South Africa end in divorce. Unfortunately divorce usually goes hand in hand with great unhappiness about the way in which the assets the two parties have built up over the years should be divided.

The marriage contract will determine to a large extent how these assets are to be divided.

Therefore, it is worthwhile to spend time scrutinising different forms of marriage contracts and how each of them can affect the division of assets later.
