Some days Windsor feels like it’s growing into a big city, and then your community suffers the loss of a young life and you realize small town care and love are alive everywhere. We are standing with our WCA neighbors tonight and this week as they navigate the devastating loss of a young man. Please keep this family and the students at tight knit WCA in your prayers.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of a member of our high school student community. This is devastating news, and our hearts are with the student's family, friends, classmates, and everyone affected by this tragedy. Windsor Charter Academy is a small, tight-knit community, and our Firebird Families are here to support one another.

Out of respect for the family's privacy, we are not sharing the student's name at this time, and we ask that you respect their privacy until details become available through appropriate channels.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Eaton and Northern Colorado community. Life took a tragic turn for some incredible young people this weekend. Some gone too soon, some left with deep trauma that may never leave them. The strength of the people around you is so important in moments like this and we will pick up any weight they will allow us to carry.
