Mikey Beats the Odds
Who is Mikey? AKA, Mr. Chairman Daniel Salem Dawkins ll. What makes him so special? I hear he is the golden child. Beating the New York City odds came with trials, tribulations, and many days of defeat.
See, as a visionary, I always knew I was destined for greatness, as death escaped me personally on this journey called life. Death hit harder than a brick wall when you can lose both parents at ten years old, two months apart to be exact.
Yes, I know, we all have a story to tell. Now that I am older, I respect those cold nights with no heat. Transitioning from Queens to Brooklyn is what makes me a hybrid. The best of both worlds, and built for survival.
I spent many days riding the train at odd hours of the night. Sleeping in cars. Frozen from the cold winter days. Running away from home and not knowing where I was running to led me to this very point in life. I came to realize, I am still running as an adult. I hear this question asked often: What do you fear?
Growing up in NYC, I never feared anything. I went to any neighborhood I wanted to, when I wanted to, by myself, and put my stamp in places most will never go. Beating the odds and finally coming to realize, all my life, I have been running from myself.
Now, if asked that same question, what do I fear? I found that I have feared the most powerful elements on Earth. It took many years to realize my internal fears were not of the normal. We all fear something. I now know I feared fire, water, and air, all at three different stages of my life. Three elements. One man.
Traveling the road less traveled.
Manifesting his own reality, God like, and speaking life into existence on this last chapter here on Earth. And soon, I will return back to the very elements I once feared, not knowing in life that this spiritual journey is just preparation for the next plane of existence.
I say that to say this. In life, you get what you put out. In order to become wealthy, you have to make the people around you rich. And excuses are like As****es. We all have one.
