For decades, you've focused was on accumulating. Saving, building, preparing. Retirement flips that dynamic.

Suddenly, the goal is to draw on what you’ve built, coordinate multiple income sources, and balance today’s spending with what’s ahead.

Does that sound overwhelming or maybe something that, quite frankly, you're not interested in figuring out and organizing? That's where we come in - Let us help take away any stress you might have around it - or let us give you YOUR time back so you don't have to do something you're not interested in! (We'll let you in on our secret.... we enjoy planning with numbers for you! Let us give you time back.)

Life expectancy data suggests many retirees may spend 20 or more years in this next chapter.

That’s not a footnote. It’s the whole story.

The early years of retirement are worth being intentional about. The routines you establish, the way you approach your time and your finances, tend to set the tone for what follows.

That’s something worth talking about.

The part of retirement that you might have not thought about - Community.

At Trust Bridge, we truly believe planning for retirement is about more than preparing financially. It’s about preparing for the life you want to live - and we don't take that lightly.

One of the biggest changes in retirement isn’t financial. It’s social. Work provides structure, sure. But it also provides community. Colleagues, shared goals, and a reason to be somewhere at a specific time.

When that falls away, many retirees find themselves rebuilding their social lives from the ground up. Community groups, volunteer organizations, and new social circles often fill the gaps, but it takes time.

Research shows that more than one-quarter of adults age 65 and older volunteer each year. That’s not a coincidence. For many people, contributing to something larger is part of what makes retirement feel meaningful. If you’re navigating this transition, you’re not alone.

That’s one of the reasons we care so much about building a strong community with our clients. Through our Coffee Clubs, Monthly Missions, and Client Events, we create opportunities to connect, build relationships, and enjoy time together outside of a traditional financial planning meeting.

Because when you’re our client, you’re more than an account or a number. We care about you, your life, and the community you’re building in retirement.

If you're navigating the new season of retirement (first off, congrats!) and looking for community, reach out; let's chat, time to get you involved!

40 hours a week.
160 hours a month.
2,080 hours a year.

That's how much time you get back in retirement.

The first year of retirement brings a shift that’s bigger than most people expect. Your schedule opens up.

Your income sources change.

The rhythms you’ve built over decades are replaced by something new and unwritten.

For many retirees, that first year is less a finish line and more a starting point. It’s a chance to experiment with routines, revisit long-postponed interests, and figure out what this next chapter actually looks like for you.

This week, we’re breaking down what that transition often looks like in real terms. Follow along for the full picture.

Won't stop sharing because IT MATTERS!

Creating a will is crucial, but remember: life changes. When it does, so should your estate strategy. Regularly updating your will keeps it aligned with your current circumstances and wishes.

Here are 7 reasons to revisit your will:
1️⃣ Family Changes: Marriage, divorce, births, or losses can impact your strategy.
2️⃣ Relocation: Different places, different laws.
3️⃣ Financial Shifts: Reflect on your current assets.
4️⃣ Executor/Trustee: Ensure they’re still the right choice.
5️⃣ Law Changes: Stay compliant and minimize taxes.
6️⃣ Beneficiary Updates: Reflect evolving relationships.
7️⃣ Time: Review every 3-5 years.

Cell phone use has risen steadily, and the "where" may explain why.

We were most shocked by 18% using their phone while riding a bike 🚲

As summer is winding down, the time together and the memories made along the way are what make the season so special.

For Travis and his family, baseball and softball were a big part of that this summer - long days at the ballpark, cheering alongside family & friends and creating memories together. 🥎⚾

And just like baseball takes more than one player to win a game, your financial life can take more than one strategy to reach your goals.

Investments. Retirement planning. Tax strategies. Risk Management.

Each piece has a role to play.

The goal isn't to have the flashiest play. It's to have the right team and right strategy working together - so you can spend more time enjoying the moments that matter most.

👉If YOUR financial plan were a baseball team, what position would you want to strengthen before the next season?

Not sure where to start? We're happy to step up to the plate! Whether you're looking for a complimentary second look at your financial plan or simply aren't sure what your next move should be, our team is here to help!
