Well, it looks like Mother Nature has officially made up its mind...the snow is here to stay! ❄️☃️ The darker mornings and snow-covered landscapes are settling in, which means it's time for warm coffee, winter tires, and embracing another beautiful Alaska winter.
As if the snow wasn't enough change, our industry is also preparing for one of the biggest transformations in decades: UAD 3.6 (Uniform Appraisal Dataset). This modernization effort, led by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, is changing how appraisal data is collected, delivered, reviewed, and stored. The goal is greater consistency, improved data quality, and a more efficient appraisal process for lenders, appraisers, and borrowers alike.
Just like adjusting to Alaska winters, adapting to UAD 3.6 will take preparation, but it's an exciting step forward for the mortgage and appraisal industry. Here's to navigating both the snowdrifts and the industry changes ahead! 🚗🏔️📋
