It was a meaningful tribute over Memorial Day weekend as The Wall That Heals was on display at Lewis Central High School. We were especially honored to have Mick Guttau serve as a speaker at Friday’s opening ceremony.

We’re grateful to have been part of an event that honors the more than three million Americans who served in the Vietnam War and bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

What happens when students run a bank? Amazing things. ✨

This year, 48 student tellers across Franklin Elementary, Rue Elementary, College View Elementary and Treynor Elementary School completed 5,518 transactions. These young leaders learned math on the fly, practiced customer service and showed gratitude to every peer they served.

🏆 IN SCHOOL BANKING - Part 3: Rue Elementary TS Bank Branch

Celebrating another amazing year at Rue Elementary! Our student bank tellers continue to build confidence, lead with strong soft skills, and spark enthusiasm across their school for saving early, all while proudly showcasing their growth in front of their parents this year.

Yesterday employees gave a warm Treynor welcome waving flags along the street outside TS Bank as The Wall That Heals and motorcade passed through Treynor coming from the east on Hwy 92 enroute to Lewis Central where it will be displayed on the soccer field just behind the school and north of the Lewis Central football field.

The Wall That Heals, is a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial along with a mobile Education Center over Memorial Day weekend on display at Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs - it is free and open to the public. The exhibit honors the more than three million Americans who served in the Vietnam War and bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The exhibit will be open 24 hours a day from Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25 at 2 p.m. at Lewis Central High School, and TS Bank is proud to support this special community event. It’s a powerful opportunity to share this important chapter of history with family and friends.

Additionally, Mick Guttau will also be the keynote speaker at the Welcome Home ceremony this Friday, May 22 from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.. The one-hour ceremony will pay tribute to those who died and their names are on The Wall. It will also welcome home the veterans that did not receive a welcome when they came home. Chairs will be provided, and all are welcome to attend.
