A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our neighborhood party yesterday and made us feel so incredibly welcome! Moving into the heart of downtown Traverse City has been such an exciting new chapter for Ford Insurance Agency, and getting to celebrate with our neighbors made it even sweeter.

We’re so grateful for the warm hellos, friendly faces, laughs, conversations and sense of community that surrounded us. This is exactly why we love calling Northern Michigan home.

Humana Medicare Changes Are Coming in 2027 - Humana has announced plans to discontinue certain Medicare Advantage plans and leave some markets for 2027, potentially affecting approximately 600,000 members nationwide.

If you currently have a Humana Medicare Advantage plan, we encourage you to contact Ford Insurance Agency. We don't yet know every plan and community that will be affected, but this is an important year to review your coverage and prepare for possible changes.

It is also important not to assume that switching to a Medicare Supplement is automatically the solution.

Medicare Supplement plans are facing their own challenges. We saw premium increases around 20% across many carriers in 2026, with some increases reaching approximately 40%. Some carriers are also reducing their participation in the Medicare Supplement market.

In other words, both sides of the Medicare market are changing.

The best option depends on your healthcare needs, budget, doctors, medications and individual circumstances.
