Minnequa Works Credit Union was proud to present a $60,000 donation to United Way of Southern Colorado to support relief and recovery efforts for those impacted by the Aspen Acres Fire.

This contribution was made possible through our partnership with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka and its Community Assistance Recovery Effort (CARE) Program, which matches donations from member financial institutions to help communities recover from federally declared disasters.

By partnering with the United Way of Southern Colorado, these funds will go directly toward providing critical assistance and resources to individuals and families as they begin the road to recovery.

We are grateful to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka, the United Way of Southern Colorado, first responders, volunteers, and everyone working tirelessly to support our neighbors during this difficult time.

Together, we're helping Southern Colorado recover, rebuild, and move forward.

We're excited to celebrate another successful Home Rehabilitation project for Penny Roberts of Holdenville! Through the program, Penny's home received new windows, new exterior doors, and a brand-new garage door, giving her home a fresh look while improving its comfort, security, and energy efficiency.

Landon Moody, Vice President at Security State Bank in Holdenville, had the privilege of assisting Penny through the application process and seeing her project come to life.

Every completed home represents an investment in our communities and in the people who call them home. We are grateful for our partnership with FHLBank Topeka and The Center for Community Transformation. Without them this great work would not be possible.

When Theresa Rairdon of Maud needed a new roof, she learned about our Housing Rehabilitation Program from someone she knows and trusts—Christi Riddle, Branch Manager at Security State Bank's Maud location. As neighbors living just a few houses apart, Christi knew this program could make a real difference in Theresa's life and encouraged her to apply.

Today, Theresa has a brand-new roof, providing her with a safer, more secure home for years to come.

Congrats on the new roof, James! Thank you for years of partnership, Security State Bank of Oklahoma.

We are excited to share the story of one of our recent Home Rehabilitation Program recipients, James Warren of Wewoka. James has lived in his home for the past four years. Before he purchased it, the house sat vacant for many years and had fallen into disrepair.

Since moving in, James has worked hard to improve his home, tackling as many projects as his budget would allow. However, one major repair remained out of reach—a new roof. The existing roof had deteriorated significantly and was in desperate need of replacement.

Through our Home Rehabilitation Program, James was able to receive a brand-new roof, protecting his home and giving him peace of mind for years to come.

By helping homeowners address critical repairs, we can preserve housing and improve quality of life throughout our communities.

We are grateful to FHLBank Topeka who made this possible through their Affordable Housing Program!
