Congrats on the new roof, James! Thank you for years of partnership, Security State Bank of Oklahoma.

We are excited to share the story of one of our recent Home Rehabilitation Program recipients, James Warren of Wewoka. James has lived in his home for the past four years. Before he purchased it, the house sat vacant for many years and had fallen into disrepair.

Since moving in, James has worked hard to improve his home, tackling as many projects as his budget would allow. However, one major repair remained out of reach—a new roof. The existing roof had deteriorated significantly and was in desperate need of replacement.

Through our Home Rehabilitation Program, James was able to receive a brand-new roof, protecting his home and giving him peace of mind for years to come.

By helping homeowners address critical repairs, we can preserve housing and improve quality of life throughout our communities.

We are grateful to FHLBank Topeka who made this possible through their Affordable Housing Program!

Congrats on your AHP grant! Thank you for and helping 60 homebuyers achieve homeownership in Colorado 💙.

Congrats on your AHP grant! Thank you for and helping 60 homebuyers achieve homeownership in Colorado 💙.

Habitat Colorado has been awarded a $1.2 million Affordable Housing Program grant through FHLBank Topeka, in partnership with Colorado Credit Union.

This funding will provide $20,000 in down payment assistance to 60 Habitat homebuyers across Colorado. The assistance does not need to be repaid, helping make affordable homeownership more accessible for families and individuals in our state.

We are very grateful to FHLBank Topeka and Colorado Credit Union for their partnership and commitment to strengthening Colorado communities through homeownership.

Congratulations on a safer house, Mae! Thank you, Security State Bank, for working with us to improve homes in your community.

Pictured is Seminole resident Mae Provo, standing in front of her newly remodeled bathroom made possible through our Home Rehabilitation Program funded by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP).

Mae is blind and had reached the point where her caretaker was unable to safely help her shower in her home. Her bathroom was completely rebuilt from the subfloor up, including the installation of a brand-new ADA walk-in shower to replace an old tub.

Through the program Mae also received:

- A brand-new roof
- A new hot water tank after being without hot water
- A replacement front door that now seals properly after years of having to keep towels around the door to block air and bugs

These are the kinds of projects that truly change lives and help our neighbors remain safely and comfortably in their homes.

We are incredibly thankful to partner with the FHLBank Topeka to make stories like Mae’s possible. These projects are restoring dignity, safety, and quality of life for people right here in our community.

Thank you for in Wewoka! We're proud to partner with you.

Thank you for in Wewoka! We're proud to partner with you.

Another life-changing project completed through our Housing Rehabilitation Program!

Longtime Wewoka resident Roderick Daniels had been dealing with severe roof leaks for quite some time, with much of his roof covered by a tarp in an effort to protect his home from further damage. After working with Jesse Grandstaff through the application and approval process, Roderick was able to receive assistance through the Affordable Housing Program (AHP) grant funded by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka. Today, he now has a brand new roof.

At Security State Bank, we are proud to help members of our community remain safe and comfortable in their homes. A secure roof over your head can make all the difference. To date, over 60 homeowners in Seminole and Hughes Counties have received critical home repairs through our Housing Rehabilitation Program.

Thank you to FHLBank Topeka for partnering with us to make projects like this possible in our communities. ❤️

FARNAM, Neb. — First State Bank has announced a $100,000 donation to the Farnam Volunteer Fire Department to aid in recovery efforts following the Cottonwood Wildfires.

The contribution was significantly amplified through the CARE Program administered by FHLBank Topeka, which matched the bank’s donation at a three-to-one ratio. The matching funds substantially increased the overall impact, providing critical financial support as the department works to recover from the recent wildfires.
