Giving Back · In a continued effort to strengthen the local safety net, we were proud to give financial support to Lawson Neel MedBank, a vital local non-profit dedicated to ensuring vulnerable residents have access to life-saving medications.
Founded on February 2, 2002, Lawson Neel MedBank has spent over two decades bridging a critical gap in the local healthcare system. The organization's core mission is to assist uninsured and underinsured individuals in obtaining the prescription medications necessary to stabilize and manage chronic illnesses,
Since opening its doors, the organization has achieved remarkable milestones in both patient outreach and financial stewardship:
Over 6,800 individuals in the community have received direct assistance. Over $33 million in medications has been successfully secured and distributed through manufacturer patient assistance programs.
The decision to back MedBank aligns seamlessly with Thomasville National Bank corporate mission of community reinvestment. "The MedBank is an asset to this community due to the impact it has on those in our community who need medicinal support. TNB is committed to supporting local non-profits to impact our community" said TNB’s Community Reinvestment Officer Melvin Hugans.
As local healthcare costs continue to present challenges for many families, partnerships between foundational local institutions like TNB and dedicated service organizations like Lawson Neel MedBank ensure that Thomasville remains a healthier, more supportive place for all its residents.
