We're thrilled to introduce a new program: Thomasville Young Professionals, presented by Imagine Thomasville in partnership with Synovus Bank! This initiative is all about fostering professional growth and building connections within our vibrant community of young entrepreneurs and professionals.

🎯 Objectives:
- Strengthen networking events showcasing Thomas County's young talent.
- Collaborate with entrepreneurs and small business owners through interactive luncheons, networking, and community service.
- Emphasize the role of relationships in business success.

📅 Save the Date: Join us for our kick-off event on August 29th, 6-8 PM at the Chamber. Special thanks to Synovus Bank for their generous sponsorship!

Who Should Join: If you're aged 21-45 and looking to connect with like-minded professionals, this is for you!

Cost: Members attend for free; non-members are welcome at $20 per event.

✨ We Want You on our 2024-2025 Youth Advisory Council ✨

We are looking for motivated teens to join our council for the upcoming school year. Whether you attend Thomasville High, Scholars, TCCHS, Brookwood, or homeschool, we invite you to join us!

YAC Roles & Responsibilities:
- Be able to serve a 12-month commitment beginning in August 2024
- Must be between the ages of 14 and 18 years old
- Attend monthly YAC meetings, occasional special meetings (virtual or in-person)
- Lead county-specific Youth Action Team and develop county specific Youth Advocacy Plans
- Participate and attend YAC or Vashti led events
- Attend trainings on youth leadership and advocacy
- Assist with planning of a youth empowerment impact project that is required to be completed by May 2025
- Plan and host at least 2 events on adolescent health issues for your respective community with the help of other youth and adults in the community
- Other duties as assigned

Due to potential rain on the forecast for today, our Kid's Community Day event will be held tomorrow (Friday, July 26) from 12-2 pm at The Ritz Amphitheater in collaboration with our Kid's Summer Reading event.

Don't miss out on our Kid's Community Day event this Thursday from 3-5 pm at Cherokee Park. Free school supplies as well as activities for kids, snacks, and information about valuable community resources from local partners including: Willow Early Learning Academy, Vashti, Primary Care of Southwest GA, Georgia Pines, TCDC, Peach State Health Plan, Yellow Elephant, Flowers Foods, Thomasville Police Department, and the Community Outreach Training Center.
