The start of football season is a great reminder that every successful season starts with a plan.

Whether you're working toward retirement, preparing for open enrollment, or focusing on your health and wellness, having a strategy can make all the difference. Because the goal isn't just to reach the finish line... It's to enjoy the journey along the way.

WHO ARE YOU ROOTING FOR THIS SEASON? 🏈🏆

August was a month filled with celebrations and meaningful moments. Eric and I enjoyed celebrating friends entering exciting new chapters. I also had the privilege of toasting a 20-year client anniversary, a wonderful reminder that building lasting relationships is one of my favorite parts of what I do. I was grateful to have my mom by my side in Denver for the Ameriprise National Conference Circle of Success, and we wrapped up the month celebrating our friend Gina as she prepares to welcome a baby girl. My heart is full, and I’m so thankful for the people who make life’s milestones so special!

One of the simplest ways to support your health may also be one of the most effective.

Walking can help support:
💗 Heart health
💗 Stress management
💗 Energy levels
💗 Overall wellness

One reason we love talking about healthy habits is because they're a lot like investing!
Small actions taken consistently over time can create meaningful results.

A walk today may not feel life-changing.
Neither does a single contribution to a retirement account.

But over months and years, those small choices can add up in powerful ways. Your health and your financial future both benefit from consistency.

🚶 How many steps are you aiming for each day this fall?

You've spent the week showing up for work, family, responsibilities, and goals.

This weekend, give yourself permission to slow down.

Rest isn't falling behind.
Rest is part of taking care of your health.

As we focus on healthcare and wellness this month, remember that healthy habits aren't limited to nutrition and exercise. Rest, recovery, and making space for yourself matter too.

✨ What's one thing you're doing this weekend to recharge?

Many people spend more time planning vacations than planning for healthcare expenses. Yet healthcare is one of the largest expenses many families will face throughout their lives.

As we move toward open enrollment season, now is the perfect time to review:
✓ Health insurance choices
✓ HSA/FSA options
✓ Dental coverage
✓ Vision benefits
✓ Mental health resources
✓ Out-of-pocket healthcare costs

The earlier you prepare, the more confidence you'll have in the decisions ahead.

💗 What healthcare planning item is currently top of mind for you, and how can we help?

Female Spotlight – Meet Ryleigh Campbell 💖

• Tell us about yourself!
I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in May, but I am originally from Illinois (shoutout to my fellow Midwesterners). I recently joined LaRocco & Associates as a Financial Planning Assistant, where I'm learning all aspects of the practice with the goal of earning my certifications and growing into a Junior Advisor role! I love connecting with people, embracing new opportunities, and finding ways to continuously grow both personally and professionally.
Outside of work, I enjoy crafting, especially with shells I collect from the beach, paddleboarding, trying new Italian restaurants, adding fun pieces to my wardrobe, and curating the perfect morning coffee.

• Biggest strength?
My ability to balance analytical thinking with creativity. I love problem-solving and thinking logically, but I'm also a very creative person and enjoy looking at things from many different perspectives.

• Most inspiring woman in your life?
So many faces come to mind! From my mom, younger sister, and grandmothers to newfound colleagues, former teammates, and so many lovely friends, each has played a meaningful role in shaping who I am. I could never choose just one, and for that I am incredibly blessed.

• Describe yourself in 3 words.
Driven, reliable, and creative.

• Best splurge or favorite item in your closet?
Anything Free People. I have a weakness for fun pieces :)

• Best advice you’ve received?
"Closed mouths don't get fed.” You never know unless you ask, and I've learned that putting yourself out there and being willing to hear "no" can lead to opportunities you never expected.

• Three things you can’t live without.
My younger siblings, my 2 fluffy Siberian cats, and a perfectly curated playlist.

• Best compliment you’ve received?
I'm someone people feel they can trust and confide in. Knowing someone feels safe coming to me means a lot.

• Something most people don’t know about you?
I have an oddly good sense of direction. If I have driven somewhere once, chances are I'll remember how to get there again without directions.

• A book that everyone should read?
I am more of a podcast person, but I would recommend Atomic Habits. It's a top-rated book for a reason and really made me aware of how the little things you do every day can add up over time.

• Something you want to be doing in 10 years?
Aside from being well-established in my career… I hope to have taken many more great trips to new places, still be getting my monthly rolls of film developed, and have added plenty of new spots to my "favorite places to eat" list.

• What excites you most right now?
All the newness! I am in such a transitional stage of life right now, and there are so many people to meet, places to explore, things to learn, and experiences ahead of me. I'm excited to see what this chapter brings while also staying present and grateful for it all.

It’s September and we’re talking all things Health and Wealth. Let’s connect the two:

•Net worth = stepping on the scale
•Cash flow = daily calories
•Open Enrollment = annual physical
•Emergency fund = immune system
•Debt = inflammation (Manageable until it’s chronic)
•Insurance = seatbelt (helmet for cyclists)
•Rebalancing = Cardio + weight training

Retirement planning involves preparing for a longer, more dynamic life. As life expectancy increases, many of us will continue learning, growing, and reinventing ourselves throughout our careers and beyond.

Laura L. Carstensen, founding director of the Stanford Center on Longevity, describes the “New Map of Life” and how this redesigned life course requires shifts in higher-education finance, employer benefits, retirement policy, and credentialing systems.
