I recently had the opportunity to travel to London for a capital market summit hosted by a macroeconomic forecasting firm headquartered in the UK.
Here are a few things that stood out:
Net immigration in the U.S. has fallen dramatically over the last two years while unemployment has remained essentially flat. AI and its impact on the labor force were a major topic of discussion. Back-to-school spending was strong this fall, which is typically a leading indicator for strong holiday spending. And the Social Security Trust Fund is projected to become insolvent by 2032, which means cuts to entitlements or increases in tax revenue are likely coming.
The world is big, confusing, and at times chaotic. Part of my job is to make sense of it all for you.
If you want to talk through what any of this means for your financial plan, reach out.
