Be honest. How many could you answer?

Drop your score in the comments: 0, 1, 2, or 3.

Not a 3? You’re not alone, and that’s exactly what we help with.

Follow along this week.

You’ve been seeing my face for years. Starting Monday, that changes.

All week, I’ve been sharing what we’ve been building behind the scenes. Here’s where it was all leading:

→ The research: Gonzaga’s New Venture Lab found no financial literacy, and no one advocating for each borrower’s best path, at ANY level, especially for college, graduate, and professional students
→ The new program: we walk through your loans with you, share what no one else tells you, and leave you with a few tips for right now. For borrowers 18 to 28, including those still in school (more on Monday )
→ The new social media: a fresh look and new faces, made for this generation of borrowers

It’s called Grad Track, and it’s a whole new chapter for New Beginnings: serving an entirely new generation of borrowers.

Grad Track is built on individualized attention, real relationships, and trust. From the moment you meet us, we’re with you, and we’re invested in your future.

I’ll still be here, doing the strategic work behind every client. But for Grad Track, it’s time for the faces this generation will relate to.

Grad Track launches Monday. If you’re in this age group, or you’re the parent of someone who is, follow along. You won’t want to miss it.

Riley and I recently took some beautiful mother-daughter time in Palm Springs. Time away like that reminds me how much this work means to both of us, and we came home refreshed and ready for what’s next.

And what’s next started at Gonzaga.

Gonzaga’s New Venture Lab has been pivotal to the growth of New Beginnings:

→ NVL students have completed two projects for us
→ Three members of our team came from the program
→ Our most recent project gave us the critical research and insight we needed to create something brand new

This fall, I’m giving back as an advisor for a new group of entrepreneurs. They invested in us. Now I get to invest in them. That’s the heart of business for me.

And that research? It helped shape something we’ve been working on for months. Tomorrow, you’ll see exactly what it inspired.

We’ve also been working on Scope & Sequences provided for every new clients.

Here’s how they work:

→ Your strategies turned into an initial 6-month plan
→ Every step is laid out in order, built from your assessment
→ Each step is checked off as it’s completed, so nothing gets skipped
→ Your Scope & Sequence is sent to you at the beginning of every month

A great plan only works when it’s carried out step by step, and when you always know where you stand. A clear plan, clearly communicated. That’s what our clients get.

Another reason we’ve been quiet? Our clients come first. 🤍

Our Quarterly Updates are one of the most important things we do, and they add tremendous value for every client we serve. Right now, our team is deep in our November updates.

Four times a year, every NBSPO client receives a Quarterly Update to keep them in the know:

→ Where their student loans stand
→ Where they are in repayment
→ Where they are on the road to forgiveness

✨ With SAVE ending, new repayment plans, and new rules this year, staying informed has never mattered more. Our clients don’t have to dig through servicer letters or wonder if something changed. We keep them in the know.

Quarterly Updates are just one of the ways we keep communicating with our clients. Because a strategy only works when you stay on top of it, and you shouldn’t have to do that alone.

We’ve been quiet. But not because we slowed down.

The last few weeks have been some of the busiest we’ve ever had at New Beginnings, and honestly, I’ve loved every minute. Here’s what’s been happening behind the scenes:

→ Redesigning our Individualized Student Loan Assessment, so it looks as professional as the work inside it
→ Advising a new group of entrepreneurs at Gonzaga’s New Venture Lab
→ Preparing Quarterly Updates for every single one of our clients
→ And wrapping a photo shoot for something brand new

✨ This week, I’m pulling back the curtain on all of it. The work you don’t always see is the work that makes the biggest difference for our clients.✨

And Friday? You’ll find out what that photo shoot was really about.

If you watched every post the last two weeks and still don’t know which plan is right for you, that’s not your fault.

There are seven different repayment plans, new rules, deadlines, and decisions you can’t undo. And the right answer for you depends on things no calculator can see: your loan history, your career, your family, and what you’re actually working toward.

That’s exactly what our Individualized Student Loan Assessment is for. Here’s what happens:

→ We review your complete federal loan history, every loan and every date
→ We figure out which plans you can still use, and which ones you can’t
→ We compare your options side by side, including RAP and IBR
→ We build a strategy around your goals, whether that’s PSLF, a lower payment, or paying off faster
→ We walk you through all of it in your Assessment Review, so you leave with clarity, not more questions

You don’t need to become a student loan expert. You just need someone who already is, and who takes the time to get to know you.

Save this recap so you can come back to it. Then let’s build your plan.

Teachers, paraeducators, professors, and school district employees, this is your sign to stop guessing.

After two weeks of repayment plans, you might be thinking, “Okay, but which one is right for ME?”

Here’s the honest answer: it depends. But there’s one question that narrows it down fast. Are you working toward forgiveness, or paying your loans off?

Fixed plans are based on what you owe:

→ 10-Year Standard: counts for PSLF, but usually leaves little or nothing to forgive
→ Graduated: payments rise over time, doesn’t count for PSLF
→ Extended: up to 25 years, doesn’t count for PSLF
→ Tiered Standard: 10 to 25 years based on your balance, don’t count on it for PSLF

Income-driven plans are based on what you earn:

→ RAP and IBR are here to stay
→ PAYE and ICR end by July 1, 2028. If you don’t switch before then, you’ll be moved into RAP

If you’re working toward PSLF, an income-driven plan usually gives you the lowest qualifying payment over 120 payments. If you’re paying off your loans, a fixed plan can give you predictability and a clear finish line.

There’s no one right plan. There’s the right plan for you.
