Hello, my name is Kevin Whipps and I’m Murray’s son. He passed away last Tuesday with his wife right by his side. He was in no pain and he went peacefully.

His obituary is below. My mother is asking that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of the Valley in his name. Services are being held on March 2, and the details are in the obit.

Phoenix Phive Software Has Closed.

Hello,

It is with regret that I announce the closing of Phoenix Phive Software Corporation.

I am the principle shareholder and I have an intractable cancer called mesothelioma.

The cancer has suddenly become much more aggressive. I was fine on December 16th, in the ER the next Monday and then on Hospice by Tuesday.

I want to spend my remaining time with my family so today I am closing all aspects of Phoenix Phive including software, checks and forms.

It has been a great pleasure dealing with you for all these years and I wish you all the best.

State Quarterly Wage Reports Available Now

We've updated the State Wage Reporting add-on to Industrial Strength Payroll and it is available for download now.

An email with download instructions was sent to all subscribers.

Washing State PFL reporting is still not available. The state issued incorrect file layouts when they incorporated the new WACARES and we are still waiting for updated schemas.

Forms 941 and 942-SS are online now

We posted versions 23.0303 for Industrial Strength Payroll and Payroll on March 3rd.

They contain Form 941 and 941-SS for the current quarter.

These versions will be offered to all subscribers when they start their Phoenix Phive Payroll software.

State Wage e-filing will be available during the coming week.

State W-2 e-filers are available now.

We posted the State W-2 e-filer options to the download site yesterday afternoon.

The version is 5.23.0125

Updates for Forms 943 and 944 are now online.

We uploaded updates to Industrial Strength Payroll and Payroll this morning.

Industrial Strength Payroll version 5.23.0110 has the updates for Forms 943 (Agricultural Employers) and Form 944.

Payroll version 8.23.0110 was revised to correct an error in calculating the FUTA Surcharge in States with the .003 multiplier.

Still pending are the efiling of State W-2s and Forms 1099-NEC And 1099-MISC.

These updates are expected before January 20th along with updates to The 1099 Package.

Tax tables are available. W-2 program updates coming soon.

We posted the 2023 tax tables on December 26th. Remember that the software must have a payroll year of 2023 before the tax tables will download.

Programming updates will be posted next week.

Form 941

We have extensive reprogramming to do now that Form 941 was officially released by the IRS.

We expect to post the updates by July 14th.

Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause you but we can't just guess what the form will be from a draft. We have to wait until the official release of both the form and the instructions.

The IRS did say that any filer which has timely deposited all their liabilities for the Quarter have an extra 10 days to file the actual Form 941.

We have posted updates to all our payroll products to cover the printed Forms 941 and 941-SS.

Updates will automatically presented to you the next time you start the software.

State W-2 efilers are now available

We posted an update to Industrial Strength Payroll which enabled the State W-2 efiling procedures for all states.

We also posted updates to the tax tables. WI users please make sure to download BOTH updates.

Form 943 for 2021 is now available in Industrial Strength Payroll

We just posted an update to IS Pay making the 2021 Form 943 available.

We also fixed a bug printing Form 1099-NEC. The employer's EIN was in the wrong position on the second form of Copy B and Copy 2.

New versions of Payroll and Industrial Strength Payroll are available to download

We posted version 5.12.1224 of Industrial Strength Payroll, and 7.21.1224 of basic Payroll today.

They will be offered to you the next time you next start your software.

This release enables printing of Form W-2 for New Jersey and corrects the file extension of the W2REPORT file that goes to SSA. The file required an extension of .txt.

Form 944 was released by IRS last Thursday and requires a lot of reprogramming. It will not be released for a couple of weeks.

Form 943 also required a lot of reprogramming which is almost done. An update for is likely to be released before the end of the year.
