We were days away from closing when a big furniture purchase almost changed everything.

Here’s the lesson: DO NOT make any large purchases before your closing. It doesn’t matter if it’s furniture, a car, or a credit card — it can affect your credit AND your cash to close, and either one can jeopardize your loan.

The rule is simple: whatever it is, it can wait. Save the shopping for after you get your keys. 🔑
