Trauma in Greece ~
I recently became aware of people forced to flee their home countries b/c of war & violence ~ and settling (temporarily?) in "refugee neighborhoods" & poor communities near Athens, Greece. A seasoned group of missionaries who specialize in "trauma therapy" have offered to my wife & I to join them to "minister" to these people coming in from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Africa, Syria & Ukraine. BUT . . .
This is not the area of Greece many of us are familiar with from the beautiful pictures we've seen.
This is not the white layered homes cascading down the mountainsides overlooking the blue sea and beautiful beaches with romantic wining and dining options.
I never before imagined Greece having poverty communities
and refugee neighborhoods where foreigners with trauma are flowing into.
Kristi & I will BOTH be sharing God's love and His gospel with people, praying for and caring for their needs, comforting them with loving hands & hearts, and leaving them with hope and encouragement and a "new beginning."
ON TOP OF THAT, this trip involves "Trauma healing training" for us, which intrigues me, as well as simply loving people, sharing Jesus and building relationships with refugees.
Now it's time to invite others to be involved in 2 ways . . .

So yes, this is a request & opportunity for you to contribute your time in prayers and/or your financial gifts of any size, to help us on this mission.

The trip dates are July 26 - August 4, 2024.
In addition to prayer, (which is our BIGGEST need), we need a team of people willing to partner financially with us in taking His love & healing to Greece. We would be grateful for your gift of any amount. My financial portion for this ministry work is $3,550 each, which not only covers training, transportation and accommodations for us and our local partners and translators, but also resources like Bibles, follow-up materials, and funds for ministering to the refugees.

We will enter these "refugee communities," not as vacationers or tourists, and will meet people in need of healing from trauma, to assist them along their journey to healing.
For those who respond to this email, and want to be a part of this with my wife & I, I'll send updates after each training session,
which helps people better understand what goes into a work like this. I'll also be sending updates from Greece.
