Closing day is the fun part… but getting there is a whole adventure. 😅🏠

It’s the late afternoon phone calls, the “I know this is probably a dumb question…” questions (spoiler alert: it’s not), hunting down paperwork, and the “one more thing we need” emails. 😉

A good lender isn’t just there for the picture with the keys - they’re there in the trenches, helping keep things moving.

Things I do as a mortgage loan officer that sound unhinged...🤪

👉Celebrate when someone doesn't buy a car
👉Treat a missed signature like a national emergency
👉Congratulate someone and immediately ask for more paperwork
👉Get emotionally invested in a stranger's debt-to-income ratio
👉Say "just one more document" at least 7 times
👉Say "we're almost there" like a motivational speech
👉Turn "just moving money around" into a full investigation
👉Text someone "did you move $2,000 yesterday" like it's casual conversation
👉Tell people not to quit their job even if they hate it
👉TREAT A MISSED SIGNATURE LIKE A NATIONAL EMERGENCY (emphasis on this one)

But I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
Helping people get into a place they can call home or make life a little easier on themselves… that’s what makes it all worth it.
