Edward Jones Financial Advisor: Shasta Meyers

Edward Jones Financial Advisor: Shasta Meyers I’ve been with Edward Jones for nearly nine years, building on 16 years of experience in the nonprofit and community-service sector.

That background shaped the way I work today — listening closely, understanding individual needs and connecting with people to create meaningful, lasting change. Before becoming a financial advisor, I supported a senior Edward Jones advisor as a licensed branch office administrator, which deepened my passion for helping people gain clarity and confidence in their financial lives. My practice center

s on forming genuine connections and providing comprehensive guidance. I especially enjoy supporting women who are navigating major life transitions such as divorce, the loss of a loved one, or simply wanting a fuller understanding of their financial situation. While I work with clients of all backgrounds, empowering women through knowledge and planning remains a meaningful part of my mission. As a CFP® professional with a bachelor’s degree in business management and Series 7 and 66 licenses, I combine my training with tools and resources to offer holistic, personalized strategies. My goal is to help clients organize, understand and take control of their financial lives so they can move forward with purpose and confidence. I am a lifelong Tri-Cities resident. My husband and I have been married for more than two decades and have two daughters, ages 19 and 28. I value being involved in organizations that serve and lift up our community, continuing the spirit of service that shaped my early career.

This time of year always feels tender for so many of us.

I keep coming back to a photo of my daughter at 7, standing at Horseshoe Falls. She seems so tiny compared to her surroundings.

Now she’s heading back to college, and I see that same quiet bravery in her. The stepping forward even when the path isn’t fully known. It makes me think about all of us in this season of letting go.

Whether it’s the first drop-off, the college send-off, or an empty nest that still feels too quiet, there’s a shared ache in learning to loosen our grip.

Maybe courage isn’t just what we hope for them. Maybe it’s what we’re learning too. Courage to trust what we’ve given them is enough. Courage to let them grow.

To every parent in this season, you are not alone. ❤️

One of my favorite parts of what I do is helping people uncover opportunities they didn't know they had.

Recently, I've been sharing a new Department of Labor resource that helps locate forgotten 401(k)s from previous employers. Many people have changed jobs several times throughout their careers and may have retirement savings scattered across multiple accounts. Finding those assets is just the first step. Understanding how they fit into your overall retirement plan is where I can help.

If you've ever wondered whether you have an old 401(k) out there somewhere, let's talk. You might be surprised by what we find.

Scam artists have been known to impersonate loved ones, tricking older adults into providing financial information or sending money to an unknown account. Always ask questions that only your loved one can answer or call your family member back at a number that you know to be legitimate.

One of the most common Social Security opportunities people miss... Benefits after divorce.

If you were married for 10 years or longer and are now divorced, you may be eligible for Social Security benefits based on your former spouse's earnings record. Depending on your situation, this could increase your monthly retirement income.

Every retirement situation is unique, which is why it's so important to understand all available options before making a claiming decision.

Three legendary athletic programs. One shared belief in preparation.

Edward Jones is proud to be the wealth management partner of Duke University Basketball, University of North Carolina Basketball and University of Oregon Athletics.

They may compete on the court, on the field and in the stands. But each program understands how teamwork, discipline and a long-term plan help build something that lasts.

We’re proud to support these institutions as they build legacies far beyond the game.
