Got a raise a work? Your debt-to-income doesn’t automatically get better ‼️

It’s not always about what you make. What you keep matters also. Your DTI ratio compares your monthly debt payments to your monthly income

A mistake we unfortunately see sometimes is when homeowners get a raise & automatically go & spend that money. Their income rose, but their DTI stayed the same 🤔

Our advice: build your savings, pay down existing debt, or just breathe in your budget instead of turning more income into a new monthly obligation.
