I always ask my clients where they want their monthly. Even if they ask me what they can top out at bc at the end of the day you are the one that needs to be able to make your payments to keep your home and I cannot make thar decision for you. I can help you or try to if the payment gets to be a struggle but its not always guaranteed that the rates will go down or the taxes and insurance on the home will stay the same. So I highly recommend budgeting with your new mortgage before you close.
