Talking to a client about a home insurance renewal. They were surprised to see their roof deductible go up to 1%. I shopped them around as I always do and it was still the best option. They call some captive companies like State Farm and American Family and others and some were even higher and others wouldn’t even take them. Snow coming next few nights. Make sure to keep your faucets at a slow drip and maybe turn them on a couple times a day. Know where your main water shut off is! Just in case a pipe bursts you can shut things off. Take your time shoveling. Don’t hurt yourself. Hire a neighbor kid if you can. Be safe. Call me if you need me.

Just talking to a client about their renewal. With so many companies raising deductibles as well as price it gave me a chance to shop them around. Their current company bumped their deductible from $2500 to $5000 on roof. Safeco, with a 1% deductible ($5500) beat their renewal price by $2000. Deductibles are going up across the board, it nice to have options for clients though. Call me for a quote at 816-705-2850.
