During this challenging time our focus is ensuring the well-being of our employees and their families while providing uninterrupted service to the healthcare providers that we serve. Our entire team is working remotely and there should be no interruption in service. We are actively working with our carrier partners to address telemedicine coverage, premium payment options and COVID-19 patient safety issues.

The Michigan Department of Health & Human Services now implements (effective April 1, 2019) provider enrollment fitness criteria. This allows the MDHHS to set reasonable standards and screenings related to the qualifications of providers. Sections 5 & 6 of MSA 190-03 allow Medicaid enrollment termination of currently enrolled physicians with previous convictions up to 10 years prior to the provider enrollment application. A termination of Medicaid enrollment will trigger a "Yes" response within CAQH ProView and on most medical liability insurance applications. Contact our office if you would like additional information on how this could impact your medical liability insurance if you receive a Medicaid termination.
