Well… we survived another Texas summer. 🥵

Now we’re officially ready for September, cooler days, crisp(er) mornings, and maybe—just maybe—a little relief from this heat! 🙏🍂

And what better way to welcome September than getting ready for the Comal County Fair & Rodeo! 🤠🎡🐴

So come on, September… bring us some cooler weather and let’s get this fair season started!

WE SURVIVED THE FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL. 🎉

The backpacks were packed, the alarms were set, everyone (mostly) made it where they were supposed to go… and Mom & Dad deserve a night off. 😂

So, parents, consider this your sign to ditch the kids for a few hours and treat yourselves to a nice, no-kids dinner at our friend's Myron's Prime Steakhouse

A great steak. A nice glass of w**e. No one asking you to cut their food, refill their drink, or saying “I’m bored.”

Sounds pretty perfect to us. 😉

You survived Week One. You earned the steak.

Before we officially declare it Fall and start pretending Texas will cooperate… 😂

🏡 Clean out those gutters
🍂 Clear leaves & debris from around the house
🌀 Check your A/C before it gets a break
🚪 Inspect doors & windows for drafts
🌳 Trim back branches near the house
🔥 Get the fire pit ready

And finally…

🍁 Light a fall candle. Put out the pumpkins. Turn off the A/C. Open the windows.....ok well maybe just the candle and the pumpkins its still 100 degrees here

Because if we all manifest hard enough, maybe—JUST MAYBE—we’ll get one of those magical Texas Fall Breezes before Christmas. 😂🍂

Come on, cooler weather. We’re ready for you.

🚦 BACK TO SCHOOL = BACK TO TRAFFIC!🚦

School is back, which means new traffic patterns, school zones, buses, drop-off lines… and suddenly everyone forgets how to drive.

A few friendly reminders before the first bell:
🚸 Slow down in school zones — those flashing lights mean it’s time to ease off the gas!
🚌 See a school bus with its STOP sign out? STOP.
Not “squeeze by real quick.”
Not “I’m already halfway there.”

STOP It’s the law.

🚗 Watch for kiddos! Kids don’t always look both ways, and they definitely don’t always follow the traffic plan we had in mind.

And remember: school traffic is temporary. A child’s safety is not. ❤️

Give yourself a few extra minutes, stay alert, and let’s start this school year safely!
