5.0 star review received on Experience.com for John Burkeen by Natalee D - We were already pre-approved with multiple lenders, but at the urging our our realtor to add a "local lender", my husband contacted John Burkeen. When we finally found "the one", the perfect house, we sweetened our offer (on a very hot property with multiple offers on the table, and no doubt more to flood in) by listing our local lender and offering a closing date that was exactly 3 short weeks out. In the pre-approval process, when asked, John said he had 'skin in the game' (unlike the random person you get with big name companies), would work closely with our agent, and said 'yes' when asked if he could make a 3 week closing date happen. Due to my own research, we knew berfore even asking for a showing that the home was investor owned, bought at auction, and that quick money 'talks' with those types of owners...they want all that money, and fast, and they don't like closing dates not being met! The seller took the bait, everything had to move so quickly, and my husband and I kept saying to each other how glad we were that we went with the realtor we chose, and his recommendation of John. The communication was great, and we felt they bent over backwards to take care of everything, smoothly, and on a home that didn't 'cost very much' as far as homes go around the Nashville area. We purchased a great house way under budget! For my husband and I, this was a test to find a team for purchasing our next home (the actual "one" where we want to put down roots), and that house will probably cost "very much'! Everyone took such great care of us on a cheap house, so I have no hesitation for the future.
