🔔 HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY! 🔔

National Bank of Middlebury is proudly sponsoring the Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation’s Polar Express Holiday Train ride again this holiday season! This incredible event brings joy to so many, and benefits a wonderful cause. We want to give that gift of joy to one lucky person in our community!

That’s right, we’re giving away four tickets to this train ride adventure, which includes hot cocoa, cookies, Christmas carols, and more, the perfect way to ring in the holiday season.

When the ride reaches the North Pole, children leave the train and hear the Polar Express story read aloud and meet Santa. The entire trip takes approximately one hour and 15 minutes, taking place on Saturday, December 5 at 2:45 p.m.⁠

This event sells out quickly, so this might be your last chance to get tickets! Don’t miss out on this holiday tradition to remember.

Two local farm stands will each receive $500 in local currency, and you get to help us choose them!

Our community is home to many farms, makers, and bakers, and most of those small and micro businesses have stands that operate on the honor system. Honor-system farm stands are a unique part of our community, and we appreciate the trust, hard work, and dedication that make them possible.

Harvest is winding down, and some of these farm stands are getting ready to close for the colder months. We want to say thank you to the hardworking folks who nourish us.

So, what's your favorite farm stand? Comment below with the name and the town, and why you love it, and two of them will receive $500 in local currency! We want to hear your stories!

No one is immune to fraud attempts.

In 2023, the Federal Trade Commission reported a total of 2.6 million scam-related reports, with more than $10 billion in losses. Young adults (ages 20-29) made up 44% of these reports, losing money to fraud more often than older people.

Different fraud categories and tactics are built to target different groups of people. Whereas adults over the age of 60 are more susceptible to tech support scams and family and friend imposters, young adults are more often the victims of romance, online shopping, and employment scams. Get to know these categories to keep an eye out for potential fraud.
