This month’s Bodwell Give Back Campaign is proud to support The Boys & Girls Club of the Eastern Panhandle and their Kid Summer Lunch Club initiative! 💙☀️

Recently, CEO Jonathan Bodwell and VP of Business Development Michele Terwiliger visited the Martinsburg Club site to meet with B&GC-EP CEO Stacie Rohn for a tour and discussion about the exciting future expansion of the Club and the impact it continues to make in the lives of local children and families.

As part of our June Give Back Campaign, Bodwell is donating $250 to help support the Club’s Summer Lunch Program.

During the summer months, the Club provides camps where children can learn, play, grow, and simply enjoy being kids. For many children, the meals they receive at camp are also an essential source of nourishment.

We invite our community to join us in supporting this important effort to ensure every child has access to healthy, filling meals all summer long. Your generosity — big or small — can directly impact a child’s health, happiness, and ability to thrive.

Together, we can help nourish both growing bodies and bright futures. 💙

For this month’s Bodwell Great Giveback Campaign, we’re proud to help shine a light on a deeply important cause right here in our community — foster care and the incredible work of the Children's Home Society of West Virginia Martinsburg Site .

May is , and the need is urgent. Did you know there are approximately 6,000 children in West Virginia currently in the foster care system? Behind that number are real kids in need of stability, support, and loving homes — and a growing need for more foster families.

❕This month, we’ve donated resources and used our platform to help raise awareness, and we want to keep that momentum going. If you can’t become a foster parent, there are still powerful ways to make a difference:

• Business leaders: use your voice to spread awareness and start conversations
• Host or support donation and food drives for foster families and shelters
• Sponsor a child for summer camp or enrichment opportunities
• Help cover emergency needs for temporary foster placements (meals, essentials, welcome kits)
• Sponsor printing or distribution of informational brochures to help educate our community about our services

Every role matters — from direct care to behind-the-scenes support that helps foster families say “yes” when a child needs them most.

This is what community looks like: showing up, supporting one another, and making sure every child has the chance for safety, belonging, and hope. 💙

The Bodwell team had a full and rewarding Saturday out in the community! 💙

Our VP of Business Development, Michele Terwilliger, and CEO Jonathan Bodwell started the day at the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Public Libraries hosting a “Turning 65” seminar to help educate attendees about their Medicare options. Along the way, they had the chance to connect with several library visitors and have some great conversations. Afterward, they slipped by the Martinsburg Farmers Market nearby and were amazed by the variety of vendors, with over 40 vendors offering fresh produce and so many great local goods.

Next stop: the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office - WV Community Day! 🚓 With over 70 organizations represented, Michele & Jonathan enjoyed learning from and visiting with so many incredible local organizations doing meaningful work right here in our community.

A big shoutout to the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office for hosting such a fantastic event—we walked away inspired, informed, and grateful to have met so many wonderful people!
