The Federal Reserve met today and lowered the Federal Funds overnight borrowing rate by .25 Bps today, bringing the rate to 3.75% to 4%. This is designed to reduce the cost of borrowing on auto loans and credit cards, personal loans etc and impacts consumer borrowing overall.
Mortgage rates are not tied to the Fed rate, but they do move in parallel. This drop is expected to have some tangible impact on mortgage rates. Don’t get too excited, but…
If you have been waiting for a rate drop for a purchase or a refinance, there is a fair chance we are headed towards the lowest rates of the year so time to tighten up that pre-approval so you can buy…or call give us a call to see if a refinance makes sense for you!

Freedom isn't Free... it comes at a cost.
I am able to sit in comfort writing this, and you are able to sit and read it, because soldiers throughout our nations history paid the debt and cost of Freedom for me, and for you.
I personally believe that we all owe them a debt, one that should be paid by honoring them, the country they died for, and by fighting to keep the freedom they, and their families paid the ultimate cost for.
Enjoy your day, the long weekend and your families. Celebrate with your loved ones, I believe they would want just that.... but take a minute, a moment of silence perhaps, and remember....
All gave some, but some... gave all
