As a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA), I bring a tax‑focused perspective to every stage of the financial planning process. I work to simplify complex decisions, uncover opportunities, and help clients keep more of what they earn. I focus on serving small business owners—supporting them as they grow, navigate transitions, and prepare for the future. This inc

ludes tax‑efficient strategies, key person and buy/sell planning, risk management, succession and exit planning, and other approaches designed to strengthen and protect a business at every stage. I also focus on working with physicians, dentists, and other medical professionals, helping them address the financial considerations that come with demanding careers. While these are my primary focus areas, I welcome anyone who is looking for thoughtful, comprehensive financial guidance. Whether meeting in person or virtually, I partner with clients across the country on tax and estate strategies, retirement planning, investment guidance, risk management, business continuity, and long‑term wealth preservation. My mission is to help you feel confident, supported, and in control of your financial future—so you can focus on the work and people who matter most. My professional journey has been shaped by education, experience, and ongoing learning. I earned both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and went on to obtain my CPA and CFP designations.

Each step has contributed to how I approach financial planning conversations today, especially when it comes to tax considerations, business decisions, and long-term planning strategies.

Growth doesn’t stop with credentials. It continues through experience, relationships, and staying engaged in the work.

Financial planning looks different for everyone. Retirees, business owners, medical professionals, families, and individuals often face different priorities, timelines, and financial considerations throughout life and career transitions.

That’s why planning conversations are often most meaningful when they’re tailored around specific goals, responsibilities, and long-term priorities.

Travel has always been something I value outside of work.

I’ve been fortunate to visit nine countries so far, and each experience has given me a deeper appreciation for history, culture, and the stories that shape each place.

This photo was taken in Florence, one of those places where you can truly feel history all around you.

Whether close to home or somewhere new, I enjoy taking time to explore, recharge, and experience new cultures alongside my husband and on our family adventures.

Honored to speak at today’s luncheon for the Kiwanis Club of Louisville. Kiwanis International

Thank you, Rudy, for the invitation and opportunity to present on financial planning in retirement. I enjoyed connecting with the group and learning more about Kiwanis’ mission of serving children and strengthening our community through service and leadership.

Planning for education expenses often involves thinking ahead and exploring different saving approaches over time. Many families consider options such as dedicated savings strategies or tax-advantaged education accounts, depending on their situation and goals.

Starting early and reviewing progress periodically can help bring more structure to long-term education planning.

Mentorship has been an important part of my professional journey.

I currently serve as a CFP Board Mentor and am involved with organizations such as the Kentucky Society of CPAs, including participation in initiatives that support accounting and financial planning students and professionals. These experiences also serve as a reminder of the importance of community, guidance, and shared learning.

Revenue often gets the most attention, but cash flow is what typically impacts day-to-day decision making in a business.

While revenue reflects total income generated, cash flow focuses on when money is actually received and available to use. Understanding the timing of inflows and outflows can help business owners make more informed decisions around operations, planning, and long-term strategy.

Running a business often means focusing on day-to-day priorities, but there are a few financial areas that can sometimes be overlooked along the way.

These can include:
1️⃣ How tax planning is coordinated with business decisions
2️⃣ Whether insurance strategies align with business needs
3️⃣ How prepared the business is for a future transition or exit

Taking time to step back and review these areas periodically can help business owners stay more aligned with long-term goals.
