Happy World Bicycle Day! Whether you ride for fun, fitness, or commuting, safety is the key to enjoying every trip. Here are a few quick tips:

✅ Wear a helmet every time—make sure it fits snug and sits level.
✅ Use the right lights: ride with a front white light and a rear red light/reflector, especially near dusk/night.
✅ Be seen: wear bright colors and reflective gear.
✅ Follow traffic rules: stop at red lights/signs and ride in the same direction as traffic.
✅ Watch for vehicles turning—look over your shoulder and give drivers space.
✅ Signal your moves: use hand signals before turning or changing lanes.
✅ Check your bike: tires, brakes, and chain—especially before long rides.
✅ Don’t ride distracted: no headphones/phones when you’re on the road.

2026 Season Hours & Calendar

The Lansing Aquatic Center operates from Memorial Day to mid-August, when the Lansing School District resumes classes for the fall.

OPENING DAY - MEMORIAL DAY:
Monday, May 25: 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Open Swim Only - No morning programming, no evening lap swim

HOLIDAYS - Early Closure at 4:00 PM
🔹JUNETEENTH - Friday, June 19
🔹INDEPENDENCE DAY - Saturday, July 4

Last Day of Open Swim: Wednesday, August 12

The Lansing Aquatic Center offers a variety of daily programming for all ages, including lap swim, water walking, toddler time, open swim, and splash pad access.

In the case of inclement weather, any hours or events may be postponed or canceled. Please check our Facebook for weather-related updates.

🔹Tuesday, Thursday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM | 3 lanes only: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🔹Saturday, Sunday: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

EVENING LAP SWIM*

🔹Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM | 3 lanes available

* Begins on Wednesday, May 27, and will not be available on the first Friday after opening, May 29. Starting June 1, Evening Lap Swim will follow the regular schedule as outlined below, except on holidays with early closure.
