Spira Care employees joined the American Heart Association's Kansas City Heart Walk at the National WWI Museum and Memorial to promote physical activity and raise awareness about heart disease and stroke, two of the nation's leading causes of death.

Spira Care ranked among the top 10 participating companies for their fundraising efforts to support the AHA's research, education, advocacy, and survivor support programs. Special congratulations go to Adrienne Williams, DVP, Care Center Operations, who was recognized as a Top Walker for her outstanding fundraising efforts!

Su***de is now the second leading cause of death for children between the ages of 10 and 14. We've partnered with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City to bring awareness to su***de prevention for families of tweens and teens. We chatted with Rebekah Adams, Blue KC Behavioral Health Program Manager and local author and professor, Clancy Martin. Honoring 9/11 through service. Earlier this month, Blue KC volunteers joined 700 others to pack meals for those in need in honor of the day of service. In total, the group packed nearly 200,000 meals as part of this national effort.
