A PLAN IS NOT A PROMISE
â €
When someone isn’t ready to buy today, a good plan can be incredibly helpful.
â €
But there’s an important distinction:
â €
A plan is not a promise.
â €
A useful plan should tell you:
â €
What is affecting the file.
â €
What needs attention.
â €
Who owns each step.
â €
When it may make sense to look again.
â €
What is still uncertain.
â €
What it should not do is guarantee an outcome nobody can guarantee.
â €
I’d rather give someone an honest plan with uncertainty than create confidence that the facts don’t support.
â €
The purpose of a plan isn’t to promise a yes.
â €
It’s to make the next responsible step clearer.
