The U.S. housing market just hit a major shift for buyers. New data shows there are now nearly 630,000 more sellers than buyers, the largest gap on record. More inventory means more negotiating power, slower price growth, and better opportunities for buyers who are ready to act.

There 46.3% more home sellers than buyers in the US last month—but buyers are struggling to take advantage of this gap.
