38 years ago, women couldn't get a business loan without a male relative as a co-signer.

The Women's Business Ownership Act of 1988 (H.R. 5050), signed on October 25, 1988, changed that. It also established the National Women's Business Council and provided funding for SBA's Women's Business Centers.

Today, we celebrate 40 years of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)! That's close to 4 million affordable homes nationwide.

Thanks to LIHTC, our residents can pay less in rent and have more money to put toward groceries, savings and other expenses.

Goodbye, Huntsville Summit!

Residents deserved better than this aging functionally obsolete building. This spring, we relocated residents to interim housing to make way for Meridian Commons, a modern, community apartment home worthy of its residents.
