. I love what I do, but what I love most is helping my clients achieve their dreams.

Today, I received a text from a client who had been turned down by several lenders. In his message, he thanked me and said, "You are the best."

The truth is, it's not about being the best. We all have room to learn and improve. What makes the difference is understanding how to properly structure a loan, taking the time to listen, and helping clients understand the steps needed to improve their chances of approval.

This wonderful couple trusted the process, followed my recommendations, stayed committed, and today they have a pre-approved mortgage.

If I were buying my first home in 2026, I wouldn’t try to time the “perfect” market. I’d focus on being prepared. I’d start by understanding what fits comfortably within my budget, getting pre-approved, learning about my loan options, and surrounding myself with a trusted team. The market will continue to change, but being prepared can help you make confident decisions when the right opportunity comes along.

Are you pre-approved and preparing to close on a home?

Try to keep your employment, credit, debts, bank activity, and occupancy plans consistent. Before opening or closing credit, taking out a loan, co-signing, making a major purchase, moving significant amounts of money, or changing how you plan to use the property, contact your loan officer.

Be cautious with closing instructions, too. Independently confirm how and where money should be delivered before sending it.
