This week our Producer Spotlight features Ace Castillo, a producer in our Hilo office. Born and raised in Hilo, Ace brings experience in sales, customer service and insurance, along with a strong commitment to the community he calls home.

Whether he’s helping clients with their insurance needs or continuing to expand his knowledge and grow professionally, Ace brings dedication and a strong work ethic to everything he does.

When you want to pair a tasty sip with some ono grinds, there’s Sip Café. A client of producer Jimmy Kuwata, Sip Café specializes in coffee and matcha drinks and handcrafted banh mi sandwiches.

We dipped into their:
Pho Dip Banh Mi - Braised beef brisket, pickled white onions, cucumbers, fresh cilantro and mayonnaise on a toasted baguette, paired with pho broth. Sip the broth or dip your sandwich — either way, it’s good!

For more grinds, we tried their:
Roast Pork Banh Mi - Crispy roasted pork belly, pickled carrots and daikon, pickled white onions, cucumbers, fresh cilantro and mayonnaise on a toasted baguette.

Saigon Classic - Vietnamese cold cuts, pork floss, crisp pickled carrots and daikon, cucumbers, fresh cilantro, pâté and mayonnaise, served on a toasted baguette.

When the Pyramid ohana came together at our Summer Luncheon, it was important to make sure everyone could hear and be heard. That’s why we turned to Twilight Audio with the sound system and microphones for our event.

A client of agent Cathy German, Twilight Audio's Chris and Troy helped make sure every detail was handled, from planning and setup to ex*****on and breakdown, so everything ran smoothly throughout our event.

Sweet Manoa Café and Bistro is in Union Mall in Downtown Honolulu next to Leo’s Taverna and serves breakfast, brunch or lunch. A client of agent Saejin Choi, we met owner Hyungbum Kang, his wife Bomin, and Erik.

Dine in and enjoy breakfast like we did, or order takeout or delivery.

We tried their Soufflé Pancake w/Ube Cream — house-made soufflé pancakes served with house-made ube cream and blueberry compote. We added bananas and tried each separately before building the perfect bite.

We couldn’t resist their French Omelet with Ham and Fried Rice.

Breakfast would not be the same without a hot latte (no sugar needed!).

J&K Sushi on the Go is a family-owned and operated mobile sushi bar offering handcrafted sushi for gatherings, celebrations, corporate events, and other special occasions.

There's nothing like comfort food to make a beautiful day even better. This time, we're at Tiano's Restaurant, a client of agent Brian Liu, offering a menu of local, American and Filipino favorites.

Ariel greeted us with aloha, and we couldn't wait to dig in.

Although their Prime Rib and Loco Moco Burger caught our attention, we ordered the Lechon Kawali with garlic fried rice, Pancit Bihon, and finished our meal with a refreshing Halo Halo for dessert.

Each year, Kukui Grove Center, in partnership with the Hawaiʻi Department of Education, helps local families prepare for the new school year by distributing school supplies to our keiki.
