Congratulations to my clients, who are buying a home from family. We put this purchase together with a gift of equity, which lets the sellers give part of their equity in the home toward the buyers’ down payment. It takes careful paperwork, and it’s one of my favorite ways to help a home stay in the family.

They also used NJHMFA’s Police and Firemen’s Retirement System Mortgage Program. It’s a conventional loan for active members of the New Jersey Police and Firemen’s Retirement System with at least one year of creditable service, and it’s available for purchases.

I'm honored to represent AREAA Northern New Jersey as Vice President at the 2026 AREAA National Convention, kicking off October 22 at the Hyatt Regency Frisco–Dallas.

This year's theme, Fu Lu Shou, celebrates prosperity, wealth, and health, and it couldn't be more fitting. Don't get swindled in real estate deals. Ensure your lender is credible and always have an attorney protect your interests, especially your earnest money deposit. If you can't afford legal counsel, reconsider the investment.
