Spooky season, Pahrump style. 🦇

Tucked into a quiet Pahrump neighborhood is one of the most unusual homes in Nevada. Coffinwood is the home of Bryan and Dusty Schoening. Bryan is a carpenter who has been handcrafting old-school, six-sided Wild West-style coffins (and pretty much anything coffin-shaped) since 2000. The couple moved to Pahrump in 2005 to be close to their favorite getaway, Death Valley.

Today the property is a true “Weird Nevada” landmark, with coffin-shaped outbuildings, a hearse collection, and over-the-top holiday displays.

Not every "NO" is a loss. Sometimes it's the best thing that could've happened. 💭 Here's what a decade in real estate taught me 👇

🛡️ The house that fell through. I've watched buyers get their hearts broken when a deal collapsed — only to find "the one" a few weeks later and realize the first house would've been a mistake. Failed inspections, bad timing, a seller who backed out… sometimes a "no" is quietly protecting you from a problem you couldn't see yet.

🏡 The offer that didn't win. Losing a bidding war stings. But I've seen it a hundred times: the buyer who missed out ends up in a home they love even more — one that wouldn't have been available if the first had worked out. The loss made room for something better.

Everyone sees the “sold” sign and the keys handed over. What they don’t see is everything that happens behind the curtain to get there — the dozens of phone calls, the paperwork wrangled at 9 PM, the problems quietly solved before a client ever knows there was one. 📋

Chicago hits different when you see it from 1,000 feet up. 🌆

A visit to 360 CHICAGO on the 94th floor of 875 N. Michigan Avenue is one of those moments that makes you stop and take it all in. Fun fact: the observation deck sits about 1,030 feet above the Magnificent Mile, and its famous TILT experience actually leans visitors 30 degrees outward over the city. (360 Chicago)

From up here, Chicago feels less like a city and more like a living piece of architecture, history, and Lake Michigan all in one view.

Definitely one for the memory bank.

Blink and you’ll miss it, but miss it and you’ll miss a whole lot of history. 🌵

Magical Nipton is one of those desert stops where the scenery is only half the story. Established around the early 1900s, Nipton began as a mining community and became an important railroad stop when the line connecting Salt Lake City and Los Angeles came through in 1904 and 1905. By 1910, the town was officially known as Nipton.

Today, it feels like a little time capsule in the Mojave. Pretty cool to slow down, look around, and remember how much history can be tucked away in a place this small.
