When we say our partnerships pay dividends we mean it. This week the Montana State Fund Board of Directors approved a $45 million dividend.

This is money that will directly impact more than 22,000 Montana businesses and the Montana economy.

Dividends are a reflection of the partnership we have with policyholders and their employees. Improved workplace safety, effective claims management, and strong investment performance make this possible. This year marks the 28th consecutive year we have returned dividends, totaling $557.5 million returned to policyholders since 1999.

Dividend payments will be distributed by check, ACH deposit, or account credit starting in late October.

Montana State Fund is proud to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors: Dusty Hahn, Jayson Olthoff, and Scott Tuxbury.

Dusty Hahn is a fifth-generation cattle rancher from Townsend. He operates the multi-generational Hahn Ranch alongside family.

Jayson Olthoff has nearly 30 years of experience as an insurance producer in Montana. Jayson is an entrepreneur, and a connector of people, who lives in Great Falls. He is also a veteran of the Montana Air National Guard.

Scott Tuxbury has more than 45 years of insurance industry experience and currently serves as Executive Vice President of XPT Specialty. Scott has been active and engaged in insurance education and oversight boards and committees for decades. He lives in Trout Creek.

MSF is excited for the wealth of knowledge and experience these Montanans bring to our partnerships with employers and employees across the Treasure State!

AWARE helps our fellow Montanans live more independent lives and provides comprehensive services for disability and mental health needs in communities across our state.

At the recent AASCIF conference in Albuquerque, we connected with workers’ compensation leaders from across the country to share ideas, learn from one another, and bring new perspectives back home to Montana. These relationships and shared insights help us continue improving the experience we provide to our customers.

And while we were there, we put those partnerships into action—coming together to stuff more than 500 backpacks for area children. Because serving people well extends beyond what we do at work; it’s about making a positive impact wherever we can.
