Attached is a summary of this week’s Federal Reserve Board meeting. The long-term inflation goal of the Federal Reserve is 2%, so we need Gross Domestic Product to rise more than 2% for real economic growth. Consequently, when you look at decades, real GDP growth and stock market growth are highly correlated.

Despite the increase in policy uncertainty, the Federal Reserve held its forecast steady at the March FOMC meeting with two rate cuts projected in 2025.
