✨ EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: KAYLA MERIGAN ✨

We’re excited to shine the spotlight on Kayla Merigan from our Apple Valley Agency! 🌟

Before joining the Apple Valley team, Kayla spent more than 10 years working in Benefits Administration, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to her role.

When Kayla isn’t at the office, she loves spending time with the people who mean the most to her. She’s the proud mom of a beautiful 6-year-old daughter, who she says is her life. 💕 The two of them share a love for Disney, making it their favorite place to vacation! 🏰✨

Kayla is also a passionate baker, especially during the holiday season. There’s nothing she enjoys more than filling her kitchen with delicious homemade treats. 🧁🍪

And we can’t forget about her longtime furry family member, Cinder! 🐱 Cinder is approaching an incredible 18 years old and is clearly a very special part of the family.

When she’s not baking or planning her next Disney adventure, Kayla enjoys spending her free time with family and friends.

We’re so happy to have Kayla as part of the Apple Valley Agency team! 💙 Please join us in getting to know and celebrating Kayla Merigan! 🎉

Nor’easter on the way? Take a few minutes to prepare!

Severe weather can bring heavy snow, strong winds, coastal flooding, and power outages. A little preparation now can help protect your home, your family, and your belongings.

Before the storm:

Bring outdoor furniture, decorations, and loose items inside.

Clear gutters and make sure drains are free of debris.

Check your roof, windows, and doors for potential leaks.

Keep flashlights, batteries, blankets, and emergency supplies handy.

Make sure your vehicles are fueled and ready for adverse conditions.

Know where your insurance policy information is and how to report a claim if damage occurs.

Take photos or video of your home and belongings before the storm. Having an up-to-date home inventory can make the claims process easier if something is damaged.

Stay safe, stay informed, and give yourself plenty of time to prepare!

From all of us at Apple Valley Agency we hope you stay safe!

🍂 Fall is almost here! 🍎🏈

One of our favorite seasons is just around the corner, and here in Rhode Island, that means so many great things to look forward to — crisp mornings, colorful foliage, pumpkin and apple everything, football weekends, and plenty of fun local events!

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, here are a few events to put on your calendar:

🍷 Newport Mansions W**e & Food Festival — September 18–20 in Newport. A weekend filled with food, w**e, tastings, and more!

🍎 Johnston Apple Festival — September 19–20 at Johnston Memorial Park. A perfect way to kick off the fall season with food, crafts, family fun, and plenty of apple-themed festivities!

🎬 PVD World Music’s African Film & Arts Festival — September 16–20 throughout Providence, featuring films, live music, and community events.

🎯 Smithfield Sportsman’s Club Field Day — September 20 from 10 AM–5:30 PM, with activities, food, fishing, a hayride, and more.

There’s just something special about New England in the fall. 🍁 Whether you're heading out for a festival, taking a scenic drive to enjoy the foliage, or settling in for a Sunday of football, we hope you make the most of the season!

From all of us at Apple Valley Agency, enjoy the fall and all the fun that comes with it! ❤️

💙 Happy National Grandparents Day! 💙

Today, we’re celebrating the grandparents who have filled our lives with love, wisdom, stories, and unforgettable memories. 👵👴

Grandparents have a special way of making a house feel like home—and reminding us that the things we treasure most aren’t things at all, but the people we share them with.

🍂 Hello, September! 🍂

Pumpkin spice? ✔️
Football season? ✔️
Back-to-school chaos? ✔️
Realizing you have no idea what your insurance policy actually covers? …Let’s fix that one.

September is a great time to give your insurance a little check-up before life gets even busier. Whether you’re protecting your home, auto, business, or the things you worked hard for, we’re here to help make insurance a little less confusing—and a lot less boring.

Give us a call, stop by, or send us a message. We promise not to judge if you’ve already started decorating for Halloween.

Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and (hopefully) low-stress September!

🌧️ Rainy days are here! ☔

When the rain starts pouring, what's your favorite way to spend the day?

Here are a few of our favorite rainy-day activities:
📚 Curling up with a good book
🎬 Watching a favorite movie
☕ Sipping coffee or hot chocolate
🍪 Baking something delicious
🧩 Working on a puzzle
🎮 Playing games with family and friends

Tell us in the comments—what's your go-to rainy day activity?

And here's one activity we're hoping isn't on your list today... 😅 Getting water out of the basement! If that's your rainy-day plan, we hope it's a quick cleanup and not a sign you need to file a claim.

Stay safe, stay dry, and enjoy the cozy side of the rainy weather! 🌦️
