📘 What Is Medicare Supplement Insurance?

You may have heard the terms Medigap or Medicare Supplement. But what do they mean?

Medicare Supplement insurance is sold by private insurance companies and is designed to help pay certain out-of-pocket costs associated with Original Medicare.

Medigap is different from Medicare Advantage.

Understanding those differences is important before deciding what type of coverage may fit your needs.

Before Medicare Annual Enrollment begins, take some time to review your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC).

This document explains what may change in your Medicare Advantage or Part D plan for the upcoming year.

Look for changes involving: ✅ Premiums
✅ Copays and other costs
✅ Prescription drug coverage
✅ Provider networks
✅ Benefits and services

Even if you like your current coverage, reviewing your ANOC can help you avoid surprises in the new year.
