I can't put into words how I feel when I see posts like this. I have spent years building An Inclusive Future. Years spent talking to people, families, organizations, and advocates. I built this without having any idea where this would leave. Frankly, to a certain degree, I still have no idea.

But, I know I am doing the right thing. I know what I am doing helps families. I know there are so few people anywhere in the country that understand this the way I do. I don't say that to brag or boast. I say it because it's true. I say it to be heard as a wake-up call. In 25 plus years, I have never seen a group of people so largely overlooked. I have never seen a clearer picture of a problem right out there in the open, and it being so willfully ignored.

I cannot do this alone. There needs to so many more people working to help.

As bad as things are today, if we continue to overlook and ignore the problem, things will be significantly worse in the future. I can see what's coming. And I'm doing something about it.

But I need help. These families need more help than I can give alone.

This is a long video. An hour discussion on Autism for the 1 in 31 Autism Summit that was live on Saturday.

It's a good discussion. I was fortunate to be partnered with Cait Fling, who offered her insight on raising a child with autism from a completely different viewpoint than mine.

Not contradicting views, but her expertise comes as a CCLS (Certified Child Life Specialist) and her thoughts were invaluable.
