Each year, CUKind Day gives us the opportunity to come together as a team, learn from one another, and find meaningful ways to give back to the communities we serve.

This year, our team spent the day packing First Night Bags for Hope PKGS in Holland. Filled with essentials like pajamas, socks, underwear, and toiletries, these bags help provide comfort, dignity, and a sense of hope to children entering foster care.

Along with the bags we packed, we raised $725 for Hope Pkgs and will be donating an additional $725 to D.A. Blodgett - St. John's in Grand Rapids to support their foster care program.

Weโ€™re grateful for the opportunity to spend this time together and support organizations doing such important work right here in our communities. Itโ€™s a great reminder that when we come together, even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

Congratulations to our 2026 Joan Szarowicz Memorial Scholarship recipient, ๐™๐™ค๐™—๐™š๐™ง๐™ฉ ๐˜ฟ. ๐™ค๐™› ๐™•๐™š๐™š๐™ก๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™.

A graduate of Zeeland West High School, Robert will attend Spring Arbor University this fall. In his essay, he reflected on the positive impact AAC Credit Union has had throughout his financial journey, highlighting the support of our staff, helpful financial guidance, and the convenience and independence provided through our mobile banking services.

Robert also shared thoughtful ideas about expanding financial education opportunities for young members, particularly around investing and planning for the future. His perspective and forward-thinking approach made him a deserving recipient of this year's award.

We are proud to support Robert as he pursues his educational goals and look forward to all he will accomplish in the years ahead. Congratulations, Robert!

Jackie Smith, our Spring Lake Branch Manager, visited Miss Swensonโ€™s 1st grade class at Shettler Elementary in Fruitport to share a special storyโ€”thanks to a book provided by the Michigan Credit Union League & Affiliates.

Together, they followed Bun as she learned an important lesson: should she save or spend her carrots?๐Ÿฅ• It was a fun and engaging way to introduce young readers to the basics of smart money habits.

Itโ€™s never too early to start building smart habits that last a lifetime, and weโ€™re proud to play even a small part in helping shape confident learners and future financial decision-makers.๐Ÿ’ฐ
