Our friends over at John Grace shared these awesome checklists for keeping your home safe from water damage—and what steps to take if water ever finds its way inside:

💧🏠🛑 Before a leak happens:
• Locate and label your main water shut-off valve so everyone in the house knows how to turn it off in a pinch.
• Give your appliance hoses, water heater, and sump pump a quick periodic check.
• Disconnect outdoor hoses and clean out those gutters before winter sets in!

🚨 If you're dealing with a leak or cleanup:
• Safety first—watch out for any standing water near outlets or electrical hazards.
• Shut off the main water valve as soon as it’s safe to do so.

Anyone who drives in Michigan around this time of year knows this struggle all too well! 🦌🍂

As the weather cools down, deer activity picks way up—especially during dawn and dusk when most of us are commuting to and from work or dropping the kids off at practice.

Here are a few friendly reminders to keep you safe on the back roads:
👀 If you see one, expect three. Deer almost never travel solo. If one leaps across, slow way down because its buddies are usually right behind it.
🛑 Brake, don't swerve. It goes against instinct, but if a deer pops out, stay in your lane and hit the brakes hard. Swerving into a ditch or oncoming traffic is where real trouble happens.
💡 High beams are your friend. Use them whenever you can to catch those glowing eyes early.
