Created to recognize individuals making an exceptional impact on the military community, the Who We Honor award celebrates not only the mission, but the heart, passion and service of the person behind it.

Monica has spent years addressing food insecurity in the military community. From a food pantry operated out of her garage to the multi-state nonprofit Stronghold is today, her commitment to serving military families with dignity and compassion has remained at the heart of it all.

We’ve had the privilege of supporting Monica’s mission since before Stronghold took shape, and we’re incredibly proud to recognize her for the difference she continues to make.

In late August, our Fort Myer branch team joined Stronghold Food Pantry's pop-up event at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Chapel, supporting over 60 military families with essential groceries, school supplies, and valuable resources. We’re proud to stand alongside Stronghold Food Pantry and founder Monica Bassett in the mission to fight food insecurity and strengthen military communities. 💪
